Claim Process of Safeway Insurance TPA

To avail cashless hospitalization treatment at network hospitals –
Step 1: SAFEWAY will provide the list of network hospitals offering cashless facility for treatment.
Step 2: The claimant needs to produce the SAFEWAY Health card/Employee ID Card,/Policy Document at the hospital along with any other valid KYC document like, Passport, Voter’s Identity Card, Driving Licence, Aadhaar Letter/Card, NREGA Card, PAN Card ,Employee ID card issued by State/Central Govt or any autonomous body.Card ,Employee ID card issued by State/Central Govt or any autonomous body.
Step 3: Hospital sends Pre-authorization Request with the treatment details; past history and clinical notes along with estimate of hospitalization expense to SAFEWAY local office.
Step 4: SAFEWAY verifies all the submitted documents before processing the claim as per terms and conditions.
Step5 : After discharge, the hospital will send the claim documents to the company and the authorized amount will be settled directly to the hospita
Step 6: In case the treatment is taken at other non network centers, the Insured is reimbursed the cost of treatment, subject to the provisions of the Policy on the basis of Admit Card/Discharge Card, Diagnostic Reports and Bills/Prescriptions.

FAQ on Safeway Insurance TPA

On hospitalization, what is the time frame for intimation to the TPA or the Insurance Company?
You are required to intimate the TPA or your insurer within 24 hours of hospitalization.

What is the time frame for submitting your reimbursement claim after getting discharge from the hospital?
In general you are required to submit your reimbursement claims within 10 days from the date of discharge. (However it varies from insurer to insurer).

In case we get treated in a non-network hospital, where should we lodge our claims?
You can lodge your claims at our office or the respective branch of insurance company. Please call us on 18001025671 / 011-45451300 or write us [AT] info[AT]safewaytpa.in for claim intimation

How to correct mistake in policy?
For any changes in mediclaim policy
You must directly contact the insurance company
The insurance company will forward the endorsement letter for changes to Safeway
Then we will update our record as per endorsement wordings.

How to correct mistake in TPA Card?
If there is any mistake in TPA card only like : Name, Gender, Age, Photo etc, you can send an e-mail cards[AT]safewaytpa.in for correction and also you can call us on 18001025671, informing the customer care department to make the requisite changes.

How to correct mistake in policy?
If there is any mistake in policy like name/age/gender/address etc, you need to contact the insurance company, they will forward us the endorsement letter for the necessary correction. After receiving the endorsement letter from the insurance company, Safeway will make corrections in the requisite field.

What is an exclusion?
Certain diseases that are not covered under the policy as mentioned in the exclusion clauses are called exclusions.
