Nomination Rules :
** Nomination Facility is an ideal tool to mitigate hardships of common persons in settlement of claims in the event of death of the account holder.
** Nomination is optional for bank customers and the facility is available on a voluntary basis. Nomination facility, if availed, would ensure smooth settlement of claim to the nominee.
** Nomination is solely for the purpose of simplifying the procedure for settlement of claims of deceased depositors and does not take away the rights of legal heirs on the estate of the deceased.
** The nominee would be receiving the claimed amount from the bank as a trustee of the legal heirs.
** Nomination facility is intended only for individuals including a sole proprietary concern.
** Nomination can be made in favour of minor also.
** There cannot be more than one nominee in respect of single/ joint deposit account. However, nomination in favour of more than one person is permissible in jointly operated locker account with common consent.
** Bank allows variation/ cancellation of a subsisting nomination by all the surviving depositor(s) acting together.
** In a joint account the nominee’s right arises only after the death of all the depositors.
The customer complaint arises due to :
** The attitudinal aspects in dealing with customers
** Inadequacy of the functions/arrangements made available to the customers or gaps in standards of services expected and actual services rendered.
** The customer shall have full rights to register his complaint if he is not satisfied with the services provided by the bank.
** He can give his complaint in writing, orally or over telephone.
** If customer’s complaint is not resolved within given time or if he is not satisfied with the solution provided by the bank,
** he can approach Banking Ombudsman with his complaint or other legal avenues available for grievance redressal.
Customer Service Committee of the Board :
** This sub-committee of the Board would be responsible for formulation of a Comprehensive Deposit Policy incorporating the issues such as operation of an account on the death of a depositor,
** the product approval process and the annual survey of depositor satisfaction and the tri-enniel audit of such services.
** This Committee shall also be responsible for examining loan policies and service issues for the individual as a borrower also.
** The Committee would also examine any other issues having a bearing on the quality of customer service rendered.
** This Committee would also review the functioning of Standing Committee on Customer Service.

No information from your and neither I have received money from bank.
What is bank's(UBI) limit to settle deceased account holder's claim without obtaining succession certificate where there is no nomination?
I believe that the bank's officials are the right people to ask this question. Consider asking them.
